Inject Zone into Fastfile.
Soon I load this patch up I get blackscreen?
Ive also made sure the . has the 00 offset but still I am getting a blackscreen??
Ive watched loads of tutorials on this and ive not made any progress
Ive also noticed the size of the file is dropping after injecting zone back into the patch if this helps?

You cannot back space. You just have to over write it. That may be your problem
Also maybe resetting your area patch. Like converting it from Blus to bles you understand?
To do that just open any .ff editor or patch converter then convert it to your zone. I know I blacked screen when I forgot to covert

Still im getting blackscreen the file size is dropping from 247 to 174 is this the reason?

Your trying to edit the playing mp im guessing ? here this is how its suppose to be/look like just make sure your .'s are null and your not going to far

ahh I see ive noticed there is what looks like a 2 space gap between the <3 and . do I need this space for the editing to work ?
