no you cant because you need to use pexploit with advanced options in order to access the hdd0/tmp folder to install the sprx and the eboot is a debug eboot so it cant be read by a retail machine OFW

You can use SPRX on OFW. People saying no, obviously don't know much on OFW modding (to be expected). SPRX was originally for DEX firmware only, but you can convert the EBOOT to CEX. Doing so, you can use PS3Xport (by Karatoto) to add the .sprx file to the dev_hdd0/tmp, then using Pexploit lite, you can put the modded eboot into the PKG files then patch it to your backup. If you don't convert the EBOOT from DEX to CEX it won't work on OFW.

You cant run a SPRX on a backup as for a SPRX to work u need a modified eboot, which cannot be run on OFW
