Firstly good on you for leaning how to code and design your first tool. A few tips as requested:

Tip no.1 Try to hold back on releasing your tool as long as possible until you're satisfied with the product "I know it's extremely hard" I did it with my first tool and it paid off. Why did it pay off you may ask? Because at the time no other tool had it's design or functions. Think out side the box. Just for as an example: there's probably 7 other tools in this section with the same simple design and or functions. Be unique, and that leads me to...

Tip no.2 Theirs a modern UI windows 8 "metrostyled" library free for download that will change the complete look of your tool and with the correct use of it's components your finished product can look extremely professional.

Goggle is your best friend. Use it as much as you can. Only after hours of finding nothing you should ask somebody for help. I'm not going to spoon feed you like the many I have in the past. You will only learn the hard way and I hope you know this.

I started 3 years ago coding and learning c#. And today I finished my first project for a company. Yes I have no qualifications and yet I was employed for 2 months and payed to do what I enjoy. Just a lil inspiration for you. Good luck
