I present to you today because I have a bit of knowledge to share.
Given that knowledge is not our. I'll let this work open-source, and therefore nothing to hide there.
I wanted to try other things than C/C++, I ended up with this project.
This program should help PlayStation(r) 3 users to extend their experience with Modern Warfare(r) 3 from Activision. Activision / IW had stopped patching their game in order to force us to buy their newest license. Matter of business! We ain't fooled, that why I decided to develop this software. I don't want their newest game, I don't want to buy the new console. I think that Modern Warfare(r) licence began to die since the 3rd opus. (My opinion)
MW3Guard is (most likely) the first mod. to secure your ingame session. This is only for PlayStation(r) 3 with CFW and CCAPI.
This project was a opportunity for me to learn about C# and of course to play without cheaters.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not against cheats or custom mod. Everything is through this sentence: "My freedom stops where that of others begins."
What this software could do ?
- Prevent cheaters / hacker to harm your ingame session.
- You can prevent camping and allow auto-kick.
- You can prevent spawnkill if you wanted to.
- Bonus: QuakeLike announcer ingame. (For purist only ^^)
- MW3Guard can prevent the remote hack (remote ending session without being host)
- And other stuff.

Q: Could I force hosting when ingame ?
A: No. But it's not impossible. Goooogle..

I made something like this for MW2 in .sprx but never bother to release it, plus it can easily be bypassed where only thing u could do at the end would be to kick or ban the client :p
plus people wanting to play legit don't wanna sit in front of there pc or laptop while play to do all this stuff, why not make a .sprx engine text or hud elem self menu to work this all lol
But pretty nice tool, but i would do this in sprx if it was me

I'm guessing yes but Will this kick someone using simple non host eboot mods like red boxes? I would think it's hard to detect

I've worked on a way to detect those who enable local redbox or UAV.
In a mathematical way, I've found a way to say if there are using mod like that.
When you check "Detection of illegal UAV, redbox", you'll get notification(s) when ingame.
I chose to not auto-kick even with high chance, because it's not 100 percent sure for now. The only thing about that, is the warning call.
I will add that the use of these mods. won't affect that much the score. I'll explain myself..
I asked four players, that were playing without any kind of cheat ever, to play with redbox enabled to see if there were any differences. After severals tests, I was forced to conclude that it's not that big deal. May be I'm wrong.
The worst about this story, is that whose who's using that kind of mod. haven't much ratio. (Speaking of redbox or uav only)

If you still have it you should release it, would benefit some of us that still play Modern Warfare 2 even though it's really old.
