It's safe , but I Suggest don't play on a main account because they can/will ban your main acc . Me and a couple friends have been account banned from hosting MW3 Xp lobbies. But none of us have been console banned.

Whatever you do online, especially something like that, you will always risk a console ban. Personally, I wouldn't. But if you do, be smart about it.

Be smart about it... What do you mean by this? I use my own EBOOT.BIN that I create with some file I got off of NGU. I've already got console banned, but I just don't want it to happen again. The first time I host on my new PS3: It wouldn't be a console ban straight off would it? Should be just an account ban. I know you do not work for Sony, (speculation) but do you think they would take a measure to that extreme for the first time hosting on that PS3?

I do not think you can get banned for hosting this people do way more extreme modding on MW3 for e.g. Real time editing and they have not been account banned by sony. I think all you have to becareful with is when replacing modded eboots and so on you do it offline and your all good should be no problem.

how do you know that you wasnt careful enough?

Basically you don't want to do things like put HOST as your clan ,Don't post your Psn on ngu and your better off just doing xp and no unlimited ammo and super jump etc.
