Need help with rte please!

First things first, I can hit the thanks button as soon as someone helps me. I've been on CEX firmware for years (around) now, and just switched to DEX for RTE and other features. Now I'm trying to set up Mw3, I can connnect using Target Manager to the PS3 and same with using the RTE tool, I can connect, but as soon as I try to Attach it gives me an eroor (different for each tool) Could someone give me a basic tutorial on what I need installed (packages and eboot, elf) wise for MW3?? And what do ido with .elf files? Do I need them? THANK YOU SO MUCH TO WHOEVER HELPS ME.
