Is it alright to switch the HDD? I have already done a back up utility just nervous it might mess up my JB once i switch it out to a new one because it formats the new drive. Doing this because old HDD is going bad and been freezing a lot more than usual doing nothing.

u should be ok i changed one of my cfw ps3's hdd not long ago whitch was is on ps3ita 4.50 dex firmware because a certain game kept freezing

mine is phat ps3 model not a slim tho
