are you talking about recently ---because they don't even watch those servers ----your probably the only person in the world to get banned on either game ----lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was probably when BO2 came out that I got banned, and yeah they do watch the servers lol

everyone is right and wrong. the chances of getting ban is hard to say yes or no it jut depends on if you are reported or unlucky.
if you use and modifications online you have a chance of getting ban. if you want to get a recovery and have a less chance of getting ban than have someone on cex with ccapi install. i hate ccapi but people that are on dex have a better chance of getting your account flagged because that console is not suppose to have online access. cex is a retail firmware and dex is a dev firmware. if you get a recovery you console won't get ban it will be you account. the only reason they can't ban you console is that you ps3 is running retail firmware and you are not the person that infected you with the modification therefore they don't have evidence that you are the one that wanted to be hacked .
the reason a dex console get ban is because that console has to spoof the cid and/or the kernel to look like it is running cex not dex.
but by saying all this doesn't mean that it won't happen so if you want to do it then i suggest you to make a new account and then proceed with that recovery or don't do it and have no worries about getting ban.
