Post: Question regarding changing eboots.
07-13-2014, 03:25 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I had MW3 Disc-version for a while now, however it started giving the famous "Disc read error". This was my 2nd MW3 disc so I cba to buy a new one. I decided to "find" Winky Winky a new MW3.
It works perfectly from my ext HDD. Boots up, starts games etc.
It gives me the missing DLC error, so I changed the eboot to bypass it (used my working one from my disc version).
This however doesn't fix it? It looks like the downloaded version doesn't "read" the new eboot? It just starts up with the default eboot?
(sorry for my english ^^)

Delete your game save. Then you load mw3 again it will update back to the 1.24 default eboot. Then install your eboot.

But that's the problem. I installed the 1.24 pkg for my region and it works perfectly (my "backup").
But when I change the eboot to a modded one (to remove the dlc check) and boot it up, it acts like it has the default eboot :/
In other words, I can't play online on it because it gives the dlc missing error Sal

Please tell me the DLC that you need. 1.24 update should install the terminal map. You shouldn't need any face off maps unless they changed it.

If you are on ITA then you should be able to load up the PS store and download them(the free ones) ifyou are on rebug, you can use PSN Stuff to get them(should anyway)

I'm guessing it's the Terminal map. But when I install the 1.24 pkg (default) it still gives me the error.
And I'm on Rebug D-REX, and I was told PSNStuff doesn't work on DEX Sad Awesome

PSNStuff is a program that you download the pkg and .rap file to activate the pkg. You use reactpsn with it. Reactpsn works with dex Smile

Yeah that's what I meant, switched RPSN with PSNStuff Happy
Alright I'll try it out, thanks for the help!
