(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); so i brought cod 4 off the psn store a while back, and now im thinking of modding it, i am on cfw 4.75. is it possible i can mod it, put a patch on it, although its been instlled off the store

You can use an RTM tool to mod it if there are any, I believe there are some...

you can install a mod menu on a ps store bought cod4 game. Look for a folder called NPUB30588 and place the patch_mp.ff into the folder USRDIR.
