Frequently Asked Questions
A: This is for anyone using my patch but don't want everyone else to know they're in a modded game.
Start a private match then open the menu and select Host Menu. Once you're in Host Menu scroll all the way down and select Stealth Mode. Exit private match and Stealth Mode will be activated.
What does Stealth Mode do?
It will set all the modified dvars and everything else to default.
It will remove the brick gun and default weapon.
It will remove the GHOSTfaceKILLr74 text every time a player spawns.
Anyone joining your match will not know they're in a modded game.
Stealth Mode will always stay on until you turn it off in the menu or you exit COD4.
Stealth Mode works in private match, online, LAN, splitscreen and in any game mode(like Zombieland).
Q: What can I do to keep the game from lagging?
A: Avoid giving to many players Co-Host. Try not to give more than 4 players Co-host especially playing online matches like Ground War.
Don't spam the options or turn on to many mods at the same time. Try to remember what mods you turned on so you can turn them off if the game starts to lag.
Don't spawn large object like a Skybase or a Merry Go Round while using bots. If this happens try kicking all the bots to reduce lag.
Select Delete/Lockout Objects in the Co-Host Menu and it will delete all spawned objects (Merry Go Round, Sky Base).
You can also use the Delete/Lockout Objects feature to lockout large spawnable objects. This will keep other players who has Co-Host from spawning large objects that would lag the game.
If you're still having lag issues open the menu go to Host Menu and select Restart or just end the match.
Q: D-PAD not working properly?
A: Try pressing SELECT button or D-PAD down on your controller.
If that doesn't work open the menu go to Host Menu then D-PAD Menu and reset your D-pad.
Q: What is USB Infection?
A: This is for those with a custom CFG but can't bypass. First create a folder called MW1 in the root of your USB. Rename your custom CFG to MODS.cfg and place it in MW1 folder. MW1/MODS.cfg
Have someone who's using my GHOST Patch give you access to the menu so you can infect yourself with the USB Infection. When you're infected backout go to SPLIT SCREEN and choose the map Shipment. Once you're playing in Shipment press the SELECT button and your CFG should be ready to go.
Q: I've been using a lot of mods and now the game doesn't run or display properly?
A: Open the menu then Vision Menu and select Normal Vision.
If that doesn't help go to Host Menu then Game Menu and select Reset Game.
If you're still having problems then you should restart COD4.
Q: How To Install / The file doesn't work?
A: When you download the file make sure you rename it patch_mp.ff
Also make sure the fast file is placed in the correct folder. If you don't know where it goes you should first check your disc case and look for BLESXXXXX or BLUSXXXXX. This will help you find the correct folder. Then place the fast file in the folder USRDIR.
Here's an example. dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30072/USRDIR
Q: Can I join your game?
A: Yes!!! Send a friend request to GHOSTfaceKILLr74 saying NGU and I'll add you.

Play "SHIPMENT" On Any Public Match
Place USB on the right slot of your PS3.
You can go on a public match like "Team Deathmatch" and it will always choose SHIPMENT.
Remove USB From your PS3 if you want to play other maps.
You can edit GfK.cfg if you want another map.

I had to scale back the features in the menu so the game and certain maps can play smoothly. The patch is 99.999% complete. Couple of friendly testers want to spend at least 1 more week abusing the sh#t out of this patch to see how it performs before releasing.

It's not going to be anything huge. I had to scale back a bit because I reached the limit with COD4. There was a point were some maps wouldn't load up and the game mode sabotage wouldn't work with the cod4 map pack. I don't want to release something that doesn't work on all maps and game modes. I'm actually surprised I managed to get this far with such an old game.
As for my attempt to move on to BO2 I realized I just don't have anything left in me to continue. I've been tinkering with COD modding since 2011 and just don't have the time or the desire to do anything more.
The only thing I did on BO2 was freeing up some strings in the rank.gsc (SyGnUs later released his) and an unfinished mod menu. It's time to sail off into the sunset and let you new guys take over.lol
