In my opinion if you don't like the patch, then no. Don't work on a patch and spend so much time on it for someone else. Make new patches until you make one you like once you make one you like finish it release and everyone else will most likely like it also. My point is don't work for someone else unless you are getting paid. If you make a patch for your self and not someone else you will have 50 times more fun making it.
