I am wanting a good theme for my programs and so, out of the blue, I am holding this competition.

Rules:
Theme must be your own, 100%. No design rip offs.
You may use another's as a template but all designs must be redone completely. (If you use another's as a template, you must show original)
Colors must be either:
Red/Black/Grey
Blue/White/Yellow

Winner will get 50k Vbux from me and +Rep.

This sounds interesting. Ill think about doing a design somthime this week...if I finish my spanish project. Also, when you say no rip-off designs and it mst be 100% our own design....do you mean that we can use, for example pikachu or whatever, but we have to draw it and make obvious changes to it. In other words what im asking is if we added a character to the design, does it have to be our own character that we drew in photoshop?

Also you say your looking for a design for your programs. Is there perhaps any other things that you would like to see in the design besides the colors?....like your name or the pikachu character on your pic?

Basically, by rip offs is that I mean you can't just go and download a set and use it as your own. You can't just take the set and change the hue to something different and call it yours. You can take the main programming for the setup and then reinvent the graphical design to something better though.

Say someone had a button, that button was flat and black, they then gave it dimension and shade so it looked professional, that would be an example of recreating it and is acceptable.

Taking the flat and black design and making it blue however is against my rules.

Taking renders of other images however is alright, but I wouldn't say adding pikachu to a design is professional as professional is key to winning it.

Basically, I'm not going to be the only one judging, I am going to hand it off to some others to rate so it won't be just my word.

I gave two examples that I would prefer, you can go with anything you wish.

lol ya pikachu was a bad example, but if I were to draw my own picture, put it in my scanner and draw it in Css photoshop that would be considered professional of some sort right? Also I forgot to mention in my last post, but when you say YOUR program is there a program that you created that has a specific amount of space that the design must fit....Srry if thats a dumb question, but I dont use photoshop that much....so I was just wondering if there was a template of the program that we would be designing for....since all programs come in different sizes and stuff depending on the programmer. Srry if that question was hard to understand the way I stated it.
