A brand new update for Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U has brought with it a whole pile of 8-Player Smash stages.
The 316MB patch, first and foremost, brings more maps for massive chaos. Initially, 8-Player Smash could only be played on a handful of the game’s largest maps. Now, this patch offers even bigger version of 15 more stages (spread over regular and FinalDestination style.

A few of the small stages now made massive for this eight player gametype have undergone some changes. Here’s that rundown.

Smashville – All background characters removed (cept petey, he stayed at a slow framerate)
Studio Wii Fit – no mirror background [sic]

Now, if only I can actually get eight players over to my house. We always cap out at seven… That’s not nearly enough mayhem.
