Look at mine or the ck+ guys. Text is very minimal and not noticeable. You want to see a picture or art, and when you add text it becomes artificial. Small text is the key.

and small text isn't always better
Depends on the circumstance.If your using a picture/renderr then you don't really want it. But if your using text as the focal point like you said, then its fine.
