I'm guessing it's an issue with your wireless connection. Try wired and see if that works.

Right now it only works with Firefox and IE on Windows. There are plans, however, to get it working under Linux and Mac as well. It's still in beta, so don't expect full compatibility right away.

Not really. If you don't dodge them, then maybe, but they're easy to dodge if you aren't two feet away. Get better at the rail gun and lightning gun and you won't need to worry as much about rockets. Smile

It's run inside/on top of the browser, but it's no different than any other game you'd install. It's not like some Flash based game you'd normally find online.

This doesn't exactly contain a link system between Quake 3 players and Quake Live players, does it?

That's a bit depressing. I own Quake 3, Quake 4, Quake 2 with all the expansions, and Quake I. Quake 2 is installed on my account at school, and I still am really good at all the Quakes.

On any note, I will sign up for it as well, but I won't have any use for it as I play Quake 3 still on other servers. But this seems like a big break for idSoftware. Hah.

Yeah, it'd be nice if we could use the Quake 3 client to connect to the server, but the protocol is different and they're incompatible.
