They just don't want to admit their idiocy.

if you obtain someone elses info/account by phishing then that person is stupid, either way its hijacking..there better word for you? Since you have to get deep into it

I was hacked...im not stupid to click on a link that I dont know or enter my info in a site before I know its the real one. I was in computer school and I know alot of ways ppl can easly obtain someone elses info

That's not hacking, and I'm not getting deep into it, it's just people with little to no knowledge on the subject thinking that just because their information was compromised that they were mysteriously hacked.

In reality i would go as far to say that 99% of "hacks" are just from people who don't know how to step up their security, 4 letter password doesn't cut it. And neither does using the same login info for everything you do webside. Also I didn't say you were stupid, I am just saying dumb people in general tend to get their shit stolen that way

You obviously were. Hacking is either a) psychological, or b) technological.

You either used a really short/easy to guess password (which someone either cracked or guessed), let some info slip that you shouldn't have (because let's face it, 80% of people's passwords have something to do with their life), or inadvertently downloaded some program/file you should not have. Because, you know, you're too smart to fall for anything.

It happens to everyone, and the only idiot is the person who doesn't want to admit that they goofed.

If you went to computer school, you should know that.

And I'm sure 99.9% of the legitimate hackers/programmers out in the world would agree with me.

Sad thing is a lot of people fall for techniques used by script kiddies. I myself can't hack, nor can I program (as of yet), but it's not as difficult as rocket science to realize how these things work.

You're just like this kid in my technical school. "I'm wrong, so I'll just say I don't care and hope no one calls me out on anything."

Have it your way.
