Natural Selection 2 has just celebrated its first birthday since launch, this is huge, as is the MANY changes the indie developers at Unknown Worlds have brought to the community FOR FREE!!! Sadly, not many people know about this game and I wanna maybe get some more players online.
The game is primarily a 1st person shooter entirely online that generally takes place with 12p vs. 12p games pitting Aliens vs. Marines. 1 player from each team has to play the commander role and jumps into a strategy mode who then drops resource nodes, armories(marines), upgrades, and other bases/hives. The game is not like the CoDs or BFs as it actually heavily relies on teamwork to get things achieved. Run off on your own and you're toast for sure. Map control is the most important part besides teamwork, gaining additional rooms and making them hives while dropping RTs gives your team better upgrades and more resources to evolve your alien or buy better tools for your marine.
I highly recommend this game and UW has announced more DLC! And as ALWAYS, it's free. They have updated and gave maps and added mods/weapons for FREE! And if you act now, you can get NS2 for 75% off. So please give this a chance and I'm sure you'll love it. Natural Selection 2 is proof that gaming can be amazing and not riddled with greedy DLC charges and I hope you'll help support this message.
Also Happy 11th Birthday NS1! And because it is the 11th anniversity, UWE is about to release a remastered NS1 map for NS2, and as you guessed it, for FREE!
