Last year, Activision jumped into the far future by bringing its wildly-popular shooter series ahead with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and now for those that have yet to dive into the game and give multiplayer a go, you can do it for free.
Over on the Steam store page, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is currently hosting a Free Game Weekend where users can download and play the multiplayer portion of Advanced Warfare for free on PC. The download is currently available now through Monday, February 23rd at 10am PT (1pm ET). Users downloading the game will be able to access only the multiplayer component of the game, not the single-player campaign.
In addition for those that end up liking the game and want more of the future, the game is also available at a 34% discount through Steam, dropping the price from $59.99 to $39.59.

Guess I'll check it out. A lot of my buddies recommended that I buy it, but I seldom buy into the Call of Duty hype. Thus why I never purchased the game. However since it is free, I suppose I could see if I like it or not. Thanks for sharing.

The temptation to download is certainly there.

Sadly I am too late. But no matter what I wouldn't be able to play this. If I downloaded it on February 23rd, it would probably be at 82% complete today. :fa:
