after purchasing their new expansion (WHICH IS ON SALE BTW) not realizing that I had no more game time left. I have like £8 on my account and I do not really want that 3 or 6 month subscription thing.

No it's pretty much a standard price everywhere. You could consider just buying a token with gold if you have it.
