(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); For example, Unturned on Steams says "Minimum: Windows 7"
but for recommended, it says Windows 10".
i see other games recommend 8 also. Is 8 better for gaming?

It has better memory management but unless a game is going to use something like DX 12 or something very specific to that OS , the answer is no.

I think generally speaking it's easier to support less than a bunch of different Operating systems. 7, 8 and 10 are all pretty similar in terms of under the hood.

It's mainly because they're the 'newest' operating systems. Honestly the only game that benefited from Windows 8.1 was BF4. Even then most of the performance I gained was negligible. Like, at most 5fps.

I've chosen Windows 10, and I like it.
I've always been a fan of Windows 7, not 8, 8's terrible.
but 10, it's amazing. just takes a few times to get use to it.

I used all windows from vista to 10 to play games and no probs at all, but win 8.1 is best for me as no probs at all with that. Suppliers game designers put that windows 10 as lots use now but use what you want use as long have graphics and memory etc to run the game well Winky WinkySmile
