Yo so my birthday is coming up and usually I get some money and If I do Im thinking about getting or starting saving toward a gaming pc.
Now how much would a good one cost?
And by good I mean one that I can play with the settings at the max on games like CoD4,WaW,Mw2 and it be like im playing on a xbox or ps3 (no lagg)?
Oh and if I do get one is there a way to use a xbox controlller on the pc? just wondering.
Around $1500 if you want top-of-the-line hardware (excluding overpriced components like the "extreme" versions of Intel's processors) and excluding multi-GPU and multi-CPU systems.

Oh, and that's if you build it yourself. If you buy one prebuilt it'll cost a little more.

oh and i dont really need to worry about a monitor i can use my hdtv or my regular pc monitor...
and i heard that you can use xbox 360 controllers on some pc games so does anyone know if you can play World At War and CoD4 on pc with a xbox controller? if i could i wouldnt even worry about some fancy gaming keyboard or mouse.
Well, if you have a wireless one, check this out:

If you have a wired one, I think Microsoft has a program for it so then the left joystick represents WASD, a is spacebar, etc.
To get a good gaming PC, you probably need $600-$800 and be willing to build it yourself. Shop for parts on Newegg, and don't bother trying to upgrade a name brand PC, as most cut corners wherever possible (weak PSU's, nopn-standard motherboards or cases, weird memory combinations, etc).
Edit: Here's a nice recent build: You must login or register to view this content.

ya prebuilt would be like $1800 but at least if you buy it prebuilt you know it wasnt your fault that the sata cables werent connected right or anything else
