best way to go bro. is a desktop pc. you can do soooo many upgrades on them! laptops arent really for gaming but they can be like the alienware mXXx series laptops. i would prefer a desktop though if your going to play the newer games like black ops or mw2 or crysis 2. older games like cod4 and on could play on newer laptop with an Intel HD chip (w/ modded drivers of course at your own risk).
