I feel your pain buddy. About 6 months ago I had a shitty 1.8Ghz single core, 1GB RAM on XP and stuff, then I got a .20Ghz dual core, 2GB RAM which was SUCH a difference, then I got this new one and I've noticed a significant difference again. Really though, buying a PC is usually expensive, but if you buy the parts then build your own, it's really not that expensive. I just saved up about £400 and bought what I have now.
I'd happly spend like 500 quid on a computer.. but the problem is this:

^^ and that was done at peak time, at like 3am hardly anyone using in UK and no one else using in the house. so normally like half that through the day.
