Haxor!
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I was on HP just configuring multiple laptops to see which one could be better meant for gaming (I know Laptops aren't the way to go, but I'd rather have a "gaming" laptop)

Anyways, I'd like to know your guy's opinion on two different builds.

Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
AMD Quad-Core A6-3410MX Accelerated Processor (2.3GHz/1.6GHz, 4MB L2 Cache)
1GB GDDR5 Radeon(TM) HD 6750M Graphics [HDMI, VGA]
6GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
640GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
15.6" High Def LED HP Brightview ( 1366x768 )
HP TrueVision HD Webcam with Integrated Digital Microphone and HP SimplePass Fingerprint Reader
802.11b/g/n WLAN and Bluetooth(R)

This one costs about... $690

And here's the second one.

Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
2nd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2430M Processor (2.4 GHz, 3MB L3 Cache) Turbo Boost to 3.0 GHz
2GB Discrete GDDR5 Graphics AMD Radeon(TM) [HDMI, VGA] - For Dual Core Processors
8GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
750GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
15.6" High Definition HP LED Brightview ( 1366x768 )
802.11b/g/n WLAN

This one is $870. Lol. Anyways, let me know what you guys think. And also would like some suggestions.

I know you said you want a gaming laptop, but trust me you dont. Get a decent cheap laptop for about 200-300$ and then save up and buy a proper gaming rig/

Yeah like the people above said you should probably stick to a desktop for gaming, but if you want to game on a laptop for portability reasons, then:

1st: It's okay, but I wouldn't recommend it at all for gaming.

2nd: Better, around a 6.5 or a 7 out of 10. Good for a laptop.

If you reconsider, which I feel like you should unless you actually need a laptop for school or whatever, I would recommend building your own desktop. In all honesty you could probably build a much better one for the prices that you have listed here.

I would consider buying a gaming computer, because I can get more power for my money, but I'm about to start school soon. (2 weeks) and since I live like 30-40 minutes away from it, I want to have a gaming laptop for me to be able to play while waiting for my next class, since I don't want to constantly put money for gas. (I live in a small town in the middle of nowhere. Lol) That's why I don't want to build a gaming computer at the moment, since I wouldn't be able to be playing on it.

Yeah, I thought as much. Well, then you are obviously better off getting the second laptop, or search around on TigerDirect or Newegg, or places that offer cheap or free shipping.

You can still do better if you want to game, unless these are the only two in your price range, in which case get the second one.

If thats about your only option, I would choose Option 2 as well.

My daughter prefers her laptop as well. But she has an M17x R2 Alienware and it plays her games quite well.

Make sure to get a laptop cooler as well when you purchase.

HP does have good customer support as well, or at least I haven't had issues with them.

Asus has some nice gaming laptops as well, but more money than the HP you have listed. They range from $1100 to $1800 at the store I deal with.

bull ****ing shit. HP sucks.

my friend loved them, untill their customer support.

he bought a $400 with addons for $200, and they didn't include a re-install disk of windows, or a backup img on the drive.

He called them, and they like that sucks for you.

too much bloatware... EWWW I hate HP with a burning passion!

Alienware isn't good in my opinon. They're like the apple of gaming computer. =/ To be honest, I was browsing through the laptops, and I've seen some decent ones, but I wouldn't know what exactly would be the "bottom line" specs to be seen as a decent gaming laptop.

Ok sorry but I have to laugh at that. Alienware is awesome. I own one laptop as I said above, and two Alienware pc, one 6 core, with the highest made at the time and one Quad core. Awesome pc's. A lot of money yes, but well worth it.
Then I have an Evga x58 I built myself. But anyway thats all off topic
And as that goes Apple knows what they are doing as well, if you know anything about Video and graphics.

Just as Windows is Windows, Linux is Linux. Depends upon what you need from an OS

Far as I am concerned as a gamer, there is no bottom line. Its all top line if you really want a good gaming machine.

Usually every site you check out , whether it be HP< ASUS, or tigerdirect etc, will show you gaming laptops. Just check the prices will show you bottom line as compared to top line.

Check out the specs of the games you will be playing. It will show you bottom line and top line

With the pc and laptop I have I can play any new game out there with no lag etc.
