(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Im going to university in september England, and want to get a good laptop that can do gaming and high end graphics, and processing, (doing a game design course) so need the power, im willing to go maybe to £1000 MAX but would prefer to spend more around £500, any suggestions or help.

ive got a lenovo ideapad i think its the v570, and its got an intel core i5 with 6gb ram and a nvidia geforce 500 something with cuda and it works pretty good, i can play minecraft with no lag, mass effect 3 runs great, crysis 1 and 2 run on high settings and its got a 750gb hard drive, i paid 700$ idk what that is in £

Sorry but a mac book air would be a terrible idea...

Asus has some good deals on gaming laptops in your price range if you're looking for a prebuilt one otherwise building your own is always the best option

A Macbook Air you can hardly even play games on... Plus, they are way over priced. You're basically paying for the name. Windows PCs are a much better option. Plus you can get a decent Sony Vaio or Dell XPS for £500-1000.

That's not true. The programs out for mac are there for PC's too, and the hardware is cheaper. My $2000 rig will cut and edit and render films much faster opposed to the $2000 iMac.

Mac's are alright for laptops, but honestly if he wants to game and program at the same time, buy a Windows machine.
