False, yes it is. The computer I am using to reply to you right now was built for $630 after tax. It all depends on where you buy your parts.

I don't mind getting it built, but I don't want to build it, mainly because I would probably break it. I heard getting it built is the best thing to do, I don't want a laptop, but if I really have to I will get one. Here is the recap:
Want to handle games very well like Minecraft, BF3, MW3
Not a laptop (can be one, but not preffered)
Must be $700 (after taxes) or less
If you can answer this for me that would be very helpful.
You're best bet is to look online for parts that would be suitable to your current price range. Then buy the parts at a retail store, preferably Microcenter, as they have GREAT prices for everything. Do not go look at their website as it is wayyy outdated and not kept in good shape. Microcenter offers various bundles for motherboards and CPUs. As for myself I bought all my parts from Microcenter with the exception of my wireless adapter. I myself bought one of their high-end bundles and it included some shitty motherboard but came with
You must login or register to view this content.. This CPU is great and runs Minecraft like a champ. My GPU is a Gigabyte HD 6870 that I also bought from Microcenter for I believe $180? Not sure on the price but it runs BF3(@ 30-60 FPS), Diablo 3, Batman Arkham City, Minecraft all at their highest graphic settings. At the end of my purchases the grand total came out to be $630 not including my monitor (My Dad loaned my one). Just a tip, if you want to run Minecraft really well it takes a higher end CPU such as the one I have rather than a high end GPU. Minecraft is A LOT more CPU intensive than lets say BF3. If you do not have a Microcenter near you then I wish you the best of luck find all your parts for under $900 as your next best bet if either Newegg.com, Frys, or tigerdirect.com. Try and stay away from Best-Buy and Frys as they are wayyyy over priced.
