(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I've been using the same laptop for the past 3 years with no problems, until recently when the HDD fried. So yesterday I ordered a new PC and can't wait till it gets here. Happy It's far from perfect, but I wasn't trying to spend too much right now, as I can upgrade it down the road as I need. Here's what I got.

Since I'm not especially good with Hardware, I chose to use iBuyPower to build the custom PC for me. Should be getting it around July 2-3. Let me know what you think, and maybe what needs improvement so I know when I have the money.

avoid that processor, people always think its good, when most Phenom x4 processors beat it, try and get an intel i5 2500k or an amd phenom II x4

You should have got a better graphics card but it will be fine for everyday computing. If you are a gamer and it is to laggy then you can always buy a new graphics card and use both. I have a NVIDIA 560Ti and it works fine on all games I have tried it on. Smile

Damn, I guess I should have checked here first. I'll keep it in mind, lots of tech heads here. This is only my first real computer, so if it isn't perfect, that is fine by me. I've only had laptops before, and this will be a big upgrade. Thanks guys. Smile

Worth the Weight
Honestly this is only going to be fine for general computing and flash games along with a little bit of minecraft and cod on lowest settings really.

Should have asked before you bought it. But when you get the money, you should do the following:

Pick up an Intel (z68 or p67) motherboard
Buy a 2500k
Buy a new PSU
Buy a new GPU

Nobody is like me
Wonderful thing is, you can always upgrade later. Im more of an Intel guy but this should be fine for light gaming, and casual workstation.

Building a computer is easier than building Lego. Seriously
