I'd appreciate it a lot if someone could tell me this all looks good and could run games (like Battlefield 3 and other mainstream titles). Also I have a few PS3 HDD's that aren't being used, could I use those instead of buying one?

Get a 2500k atleast, your gonna be bottlenecking that graphics card with a i3.
