I'm just wondering what you guys would recommend I should buy. Looking for anything that can run games like battlefield 3, skyrim, etc. If it is slightly over my budget that is fine too, I can try putting together a bit more .

you could build it in 30 mins if you know what you're
doing, its easier than you think though! just mount everything in place and wire it up. there is plenty of tutorials on youtube.

an hour or 2 if your 1st time it takes me about 1 hour to get everything working

It won't take too long. The main problem though is that you should make sure that you are wiring everything correctly. There are small fan connectors and things that you don't want to miss. You're better off following a modern tutorial on these things. With a friend, it shouldn't take longer than one hour. Probably less, however it could be more.
