(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I've chosen all the parts for the computer I'd like to build, however before I spend $1,200 I'd like someone other than me to look over everything and make sure things are compatible. This is my first time building and I'd like not to make a simply mistake, also any suggestion are welcome.

Why do you have two motherboards?

Also, you can't use that CPU with that motherboard. You should get a z77 motherboard, not a z68 one. Also, I wouldn't recommend that CPU. For that budget you should easily be able to fit in a 3570k.

Unfortunately I can't muster up a build on the device I'm using now, since it'd take way too long, and I am striped for time as it is. If no one has gotten back to you by tomorrow, I will be more than happy to give you a build for a $1200 budget.

You also forgot the CD drive.

Edit: Okay, I have access to a PC now.

Here's what I'd suggest for $1200.

77w means that the maximum power this chip uses is 77 watts.

Yes. They will work together.

Yup. Everything looks good. But just so you know: you are going to need a better cooling solution if you are going to be overclocking. The stock cooler does a good job with a mild overclock, but anything past that an aftermarket CPU cooler is needed.

You could buy the build now, and then save up for a H80 or H60. Or you could just buy a Cooler Master Hyper 212+ which should be fine for a little higher overclocks.
