(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I'm thinking of getting a nice shiny new gaming computer but I don't know alot about the market.

I put this together casually the other night and I'm wondering how I can make it better but cheaper?

I choose that Mobo because of the wifi and bluetooth on it and because it has a nice intel internet port (heard good reviews)

My goal is to get the computer down to about $1200 without sacrificing power or quality too much.

Not sure what else to say about it. Ask any questions if needed!

ok get a cheaper case. such as the coolermaster HAF 912 since its a perfectly capable case i have used and will be using soon. drop the h100 cooler and get a Coolermaster hyper 212+ that just dropped about 200$ and you will still keep your good preformace, change the graphics to a 660ti.It will be cheaper yet better, o yea get a cheaper mobo. its best to buy them all from 1 place.

And grab the cheapest CD Drive you can find.

Runs at 1204 dollars. Plus the optical drive it's probably around 1220 dollars.

I heard that the corsair 600t is going for about $60 on sale now so I think I'll look at that.
Don't really like the looks of the air coolers so should I go for a h80?
whats a good price/performance 660ti? I found when looking at the 570 that I could get that on with better specs for cheaper (compared to the other 570s)

Also I couldn't really find that much for boards with bluetooth/wifi
would it be cheaper to get a mobo with them onboard or get a pci board?

Am going to buy all parts from a local store in town, they have a deal where they will not only match but beat the lowest price for a canadian retailer which is why I'm using pcpartpicker, it does a good job of finding the best prices

Well I didn't see anything related to Wifi or bluetooth.

I haven't actually seen any motherboards that support both bluetooth and wifi. So you'll need to pick up an adapter for at least one.

Wifi Card: You must login or register to view this content.

Bluetooth Adapter: You must login or register to view this content.

And 8GB should be enough, but RAM is really cheap now. You're better off just getting 16GB if you really think you'll need it for the extra 20 or 30 bucks.

Remove the liquid cooling and get a good air-cooler, they're a bit cheaper.

Instead of a 570, stretch yourself and get a 7850. They can be OC'ed to 580 levels if you're lucky.

See if you can get a cheaper drive, loosen up on the motherboard. Consider cheaper case, 160 is a bit high IMO.

And do you REALLY want an SSD?

Also, why do you need wifi if you also want an internet port?

if your getting a h80 just get a h100 then. aircoolers are the best bang for your buck and can overclock just as high as a h80, do you really need bluetooth and wifi? you can get a wifi card 10x better for like 20$

Drop the OS, that will make it $100 less. You can get the OS off piratebay or something.

I haven't looked into them that much but I know the Gigabyte GA-Z77x-UD5H WB ($215) and the ASUS P8Z77-V PREMIUM ($500) boards have both. I assume that there are others considering I found these after 10seconds of searching. But from the links you gave, the extra parts on a different board looks cheaper.

Heard that AMD had problems with their drivers and crashing. Is that still a problem?
And I used the cable whenever I'm home on highspeed but when travelling wifi is all I can get at times (using the computer for more than gaming.
Is $94 reasonable for a case?

yeah, I need them. I do a bunch of work with various bluetooth devices.. pain in the ass. Also nice to connect my PS3 controller to the computer once in awhile.
