Worth the Weight
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello I thought I would just go ahead and make this. Please note that these prices are subject to change. I am going to be making these builds for people so that it makes it easier for them to create and build a PC for themselves. Let's begin. This will be my first thread. I might be making another one for those people over in Europe. Please note that I will be using Newegg. I am using newegg for reliability and excellent support. I am not going to use Amazon or any other of those links. If you find a cheaper build, and think that it's better, please drop it below. If you are feeling generous you could also give me the rights to use it in this thread, giving you full credit of course.

Also, please don't skimp out on parts. I have used excellent quality parts in all of the builds I have listed. I am not going to accept a $1000 build with a cheap 550W PSU and a mediocre motherboard. Just because it's "good enough" doesn't mean that you should buy it. It will likely die or cause issues in the future. I apologize if I missed anything, I am in a rush to leave and I wanted to put this thread out.

This will have two builds. I will be using X79 for one and Z77 for the other. I won't be posting any pictures for these ones. The LGA 2011 is $2100, but the CPU is $570 bucks...

That's not true at all. The 7970 can overclock even further, it has More computing power, higher bandwidth and 5.5Gbps GDDR5.

And here's a benchmark: You must login or register to view this content.

However I will agree it's better for the money. Even better than the 660ti for the money.

great post how can i top this. 500$ and a 6870. damn i'd spend a extra 30$ for a better cooling case though also for 750$ go to a i5 3470 a h77 and a 7850, for 1000$ the 660ti twin frozr has a highclockspeed and is factory ocd with room for extra and its the same price

I decided to add a 7950 Twin Frozr for the 1 grand build. It's price is 20 dollars off and it has a 15 dollar MIR. Excellent deal. The build still is under budget, only costs 990 dollars.

Also I know what you mean by the cooling for the 500 dollar build. But it will be quiet and the cooling is just fine really. Most of the heat from the GPU expels out the back and the PSU should always be mounted fan down as an intake. The fans -if placed efficiently- will make the computer both quiet and cool.

For the $750 dollar build, I think that the 570 is a better trade-off, however I could go down that path as well. I'll be sure to play around with that and give you some credit as well :y:
