im pretty sure it can run 3 , about how much fps in a game no one really could tell you it will act differently depending on your other hardware and 3 screens is a lot for one gpu to be doing anyway call of duty im sure it will be fine bf3 idk. and the fan on that gpu sucks its blowing air off the gpu not into it imo they dont cool as well as others considering its $549 you could choose a better one You must login or register to view this content. this would be a great alternative to the posted one

Yeah after I posted this I went back on newegg and started looking at other GPU's and one of them was the twin frozr. Do you think a 7970 would be a better option then the GTX 680 though? Or maybe even two 7950's?

Well more specifically in BF3 the performance is a huge difference between the 680 and 7970. The 680 slightly outperforms the 7970 in the majority of games, although in bf3 the 680 pulls far ahead than the 7970 in bf3. This card would run 3 monitors with bf3 running fairly well. When it comes to high res, vram is your friend. the 4gb on that card is more than enough. Although the card will be running quiet warm so be prepared for that.

Thanks for all the advise. I'll probably end up getting the MSI Twin Frozr GTX 680

there is a reason why 7970 out performs over the nvidia and no im not going into detail cause youll just reply im wrong either way

and edit: personal experience and ownership of a Kepler card, 680 should run cooler then a 560 by almost 20c on average and with the card i linked he should never have heating issues if the case air flow is good (the 560 example is because that card ran very hot like the 480s)

Eyefinity, OpenCL, the absolute best overclocking/overvolting, and the best price per performance just to name a few. Winky Winky

7970 has a higher bus width 384bit 680 256bit 7970 3gb 680 2-4gbs i perfer nvidia cards as my games tend to run fine with no trouble down the road ive never had issues with driver versions and for 3gbs i think 384bit bus is over kill for the 7970.also account nvidia cards have been smaller lately then amd thats another factor for me

Worth the Weight
You will need the extra frame buffer for three monitors. The 4GB 680 is the way to go. If you care about the card benchmarks, please refer to You must login or register to view this content.

You will run into frame dips on any game at high resolutions like that. The card will probably get like 45 FPS on BF3 with maximum settings using three monitors. Maybe even less in intense situations.
