Both are the same price at $309.99 and have the same 2 fan design. The specs are very similar so its more down to opinion.

Does anyone have any other cards that would compete well with these for the price?
Although I'm more looking at nVidia cards, I'm still open to any AMD variants.

Edit: also wanted to add in this card because its slightly more powerful but I'm unsure of cooling. Also if its easier to OC the other cards past this one fairly easy

The 7950 is a better all round card as it has a 384-bit memory interface and has a 3GB frame buffer. (It's more future proof)

It's also only $299.00

Here are some benchmarks:

And if you're willing to dish out the extra 50 bucks, nothing will beat this card (It's 50$ off)

Both of those cards look beastly. Although a quick look at reviews says they may have stability issues?

If you had to choose from the originally posted cards, which would you?

The ASUS one. But I'm telling you know you will be severely hindered with that 192-bit memory interface in the long run for future games. The only reason I would get that card is if you really love NVIDIA over AMD.

Alright. Thanks mate. Will have to put a lot of thought into the card then because I have had past troubles with my Ati and AMD cards. Everything I've ever run from nVidia has run perfectly.
But that I realise what the difference on the memory makes from friends comparing similar.

The reviews that I've read saying the AMD isn't stable and is more likely to crash fits perfectly into my own experience so I'm hesitant to go with them.

For future reference, what brands would you say make the best quality (aka, speed, noise, heat) cards? As far as I know ASUS has always done me well and I've heard great things of XFX yet nobody ever recommends them

its really a shame they cut back so much from the 680 down to 670 then decided to do it again on the 660-ti's bad part ppl keep buying them at least amd only makes a high end version and a mid range instead of 4 of the same gpu chipset
