1. Know the parts and what they are capable of.
not many of you know that CPU like the i5 3450 and i7 3770 can actually overclock up to around 4ghz the k series are 100% unlocked and can go over it closer to 5ghz. and 4ghz is a good overclock on a cpu.

2. if your not overclocking and just want a daily browser or a basic gaming pc a cheaper motherboard works.
h77 and 720g chipset motherboards are great for the wallet and what you get feature wise not every computer needs a z77 and 990fx

3. AMD is just as good for low end, mid end gaming PCs.
a amd fx4100 works just aswell as a i5 in gaming so save yourself $100 this is for the under $1000 rule, but will work wonders in the $750 budget range

4. if making a high end gaming build over $1000 try to make 1/3 of the money go towards a graphics card.
so if im in a $1000 build i want to try and use a 660ti or a 7950 graphics card for most preformance

5. Do Research and DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS!!!

if overclocking 7950 overclocks easier with less voltage then a 660-ti for the money get a 7950 it beats a 670 easily
