(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Once i've left school, and i've came back from my holiday, I want to build my own computer.
I've been wanting to build one recently, but i don't have much knowledge when it comes to building a computer.
Could anyone recommend decent manufacturers/parts, and tutorials?
Also, could you explain any information that i should know before putting the parts together, such as compatibility, etc..?
I'm not a PC gamer since my computer lags when it comes to PC games, but i would consider it if i had the right parts to do so.

Cheers.

There's too much to really put in one post. If you want to learn about computer building yourself, check out /r/buildapc on Reddit and get familiar with some of the stuff posted there. I'd recommend also checking out some PC hardware sites such as PC Perspective. Linus Tech Tips does good tech videos as well (the live stream archive is good too). If you've any very specific questions I can answer them.

If you have a budget I can apply my knowledge and make a build for you though Smile

Depends on your budget. For $500 you can build a decent gaming pc. But you'll need to give me more info on what you'd like to build and what you'll be using it most for.

EDIT: GO WITH SOME OTHER OPTIONS AS IBUYPOWER AS STATED BY CLUTCH IS REALLY UNBALANCED GPU AND CPU WISE. Thanks for heads up clutch.

Check out these Options below for a pre-built gaming pc. these are pre-built and come put together.

Really if you want to get a nice Gaming rig you can go for a 500$ Desktop Pc and be able to run Skyrim.
AMD ROUTE:
You must login or register to view this content.

Intel Route: (like buying the same for the name brand Not Happy or Sad)
You must login or register to view this content.

Honestly if you want to build a nice desktop and want to see compatible parts too go to pcpartpicker.com

Have fun Smile and let one of us know if you'd like some more help Smile

Please stop posting links to iBUYPOWER. The builds are really unbalanced - if you're a gamer and you have a $600 budget, you should not be getting a high-ish-end CPU and then getting a 6450 or GT610. That's absurd, not gonna work out well and when it comes right down to it is a rip off.

Sorry about that it really depends though. I mean if he is looking for his first pc. I mean they aren't the best. Especially if you aren't 100% on putting it together and unsure of compatibility. Just gave him an option. I built mine but I didn't figure that they were that bad ti'll after I checked into what you were saying. They have become quite unbalanced. Sorry about that. I can edit those posts out.

Watch these. :y:

Their hosted by Newegg.com which a very good place to order your parts and what not. The guy in the video is extremely thorough and it makes everything easy for a first time builder. I would honestly say that choosing your components is the hardest part of it all. Simply because what you choose is going to be your pride and joy. Good luck man! PC MASTER RACE UNITE!!!!!!!!!!
