All seems good, really good price to considering you're getting a monitor and Cross Fire Radeons... But if you wana save money, you can always, drop out one radeon, put the PSU down, and put the 3770k to 3550k the cpu is considering if you want to be rendering etc, otherwise you wont need hyper threading.

Two 7970's might be a little overkill for 1080p gaming. To save money you could do what DECR7PT said and get only one 7970 and get like a cheaper 750watt PSU. I'd keep the 3770k though cause at microcenter it is only a little bit more then a 3570k.

Well it all comes down to does he need the hyperthreading? It doesn't have any benefit in games atm, but if you wana spend another $100 for something that won't improve gaming performace then don't get it. Two Radeons is to much unless your using multi monitor setup. But that is still quite cheap for all those items at that price. All comes down to personal preference. But honestly as I said 1 Radeon is enough, and a 650W PSU should do just fine.

Heres my setup.

CPU: 3570k
CPU Cooler: Noctua nh-d14
MotherBoard: Asrock z77 extreme4
Case: Coolermaster storm enforcer
PSU: Silverstone strider plus 600w
SSSad Awesome Samsung 840 Series 120gb
HDSad Awesome Seagate 2TB 7200RPM
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Low Profile
Optical driver:Super rite master
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon 7970 Ghz Edition
Network Adapter for extra PCIE Slot

This is literally untrue. Go look at any benchmarks. Hyperthreading makes a difference, even if it's only minimal. Hyperthreading will make even more of a difference in the future too as I suspect the next-gen consoles will support it. It's the reason the FX-8350 surpasses the i5-3570(k) in certain games despite the fact that the 3570(k) is considerably better core for core. Is it worth the increase in price? If you're solely gaming, no, but that doesn't mean you should spout stuff that's entirely untrue.

---

OP! Feedback, part by part:

- Don't get a 3770k. It's too expensive for the minimal increase in performance whilst gaming. Either get the i5-3570k (or the upcoming Haswell i5-4670k) or the FX-8350.
- The cooler is fine. I've put a different cooler on below that I know to be good because I'm not very familiar with coolers yet.
- Don't get an ASRock motherboard, You must login or register to view this content. that worsen lifespan, especially when overclocking. Gigabyte and MSI, for example do better boards for equivalent price-points.
- The memory's increase in frequency/bandwidth isn't worth the extra $15. The difference it'll make simply isn't noticeable.
- Change the SSD to a Crucial M4 or the new M500. Better benchmarks and I think if I recall correctly better lifespan.
- Hard drive is fine.
- Don't Crossfire cards at the moment. See PC Perspective's frame rating articles - in a sentence, what benchmarks record as FPS isn't actually what you see. This is a problem with everything but without a doubt mostly with Crossfire configurations. Also, XFX cooling is sub-par.
- Case is fine.
- Try and get at least 80+ bronze efficiency with the power supply. You've already got it modular, that's good.
- Optical drive is fine.
- That monitor is very similar to my own and it's very good. It's expensive due to the whole 144Hz thing but I've kept it in there.
- Get a mechanical keyboard! I've left it off the list as you should do some research and see which type you'd prefer.
- Mouse is fine.

Here's my amended build:

Yes, usually I would agree with you but the i7 is $230!!! That's like $10 more than the i5. Why in the world would he buy an i5 when the i7 is $10 more. GET THE i7!!!!!!!!!!!! And about the PSU, you could get a 650watt but I always like to get a 100 or more watts over the recommended/minimum for future proofing. You know for overclocking or upgrades. Imo it is better to buy a bigger PSU for $50-$100 more than to sell your old one and have to buy another one.

Yea. I bought my i7 for $320 off ebay. For some reason on microcenter its just a little more than the i5. $10 more for hyperthreading sounds good to me Winky Winky
