Do a barrel roll!
Definitely the 3930k; it's a great processor and everything looks the same pretty much as the other build.

Oh and you don't need a sound card either, the onboard sound on motherboards is really good in today's current gen motherboards..

Neither. You should not use LGA 2011 platforms for gaming. With the new Intel Haswell chips out, it would be stupid not to go with one of those instead. The Titan is also not a good card for the money anymore now that the 780 is out. Here would be a much better build for what you want, for much less.

The 1st choice, the i7-3930K Six Core 3.20 GHz performs better than the 2nd choice CPU. You do not really need a soundcard unless your serious about creating and recording music using a computer. And as said the GTX 780 is close to the performance of a GTX titan and better value for money.

I agree with all but Haswell. Minimal performance improvements (especially while gaming) and minimal power consumption improvements aren't worth the increased price over Ivy Bridge. Until Haswell cheapens I'd suggest the Ivy Bridge equivalents.

Don't agree with getting a Titan at this point. If you have the money, get a 780. It's cheaper and similar to the Titan. As new technology arrives, GPU prices will go down and probably by next year (when Nvidia/AMD release their next series of GPUs in 2014). What I'm trying to say is, it's overkill.

Same with the CPU. If you're not doing crazy rendering and video editing you might as well get a new i5 Haswell chip.
