Well first off you need a a GPU so get a better PSU like a integra r2 650w and a better graphics card like a 770. Then get a smaller ssd like a 840 evo and a 1th mechanical drive. Also a cheaper case like a corsair 300r or bitfenix shinobi. That should be around $1200 all together.

Why do I NEED a GPU? I wanted to use the computer with integrated graphics and without a graphics card for a little to save on money... once I get enough money I will buy the Gigabyte R9 270X GDDR5-2GB 2xDVI/HDMI/DP OC Graphics Card... Why Do you think I need a better Graphics Card? This one is already almost $300... My PSU from Corsair is good and I don't need the extra 50w... Its not worth the money! Already everything without the Graphics Card is around $1200

Better render times and better performance, get a i5, you have no use for a i7, get a 120gb ssd and a 1tb storage drive. And the card and a cheaper case can save you $100 and a CX PSU has cheap internals and might not be able to handle the stress of high power loads, get a fractal integra r2 650w they are 80+ gold and somewhat cheap

im sorry but you say light gaming and its main purpose is for programing and graphic design you choose poor parts , you really should go with an amd system and buy a nvidia gpu for the cuda usage go with a samsung pro series ssd as its just as good as the intel if not better. some points you should think of

cpu:fx-6350/6300 dont overclock if your going to be programing
gpu: gtx 650-ti boost think you can pick one up for like $150 and will work great with adobe products/or get a cheaper 270x you want it for open cl not for its gaming and cooling potential

HDSad Awesome2x 1tb WD red drives for raid 1 and a 120gb samsung pro for caching/programs/os
PSU:something with 80gold you can get a cheap 550watt psu from rosewell or a little more from seasonic they have some of the best built psu's on the market
Ram/Memory:16gbs at 1.3/1.6ghz wont really matter as your not going to notice that little of a boost
CD Rom:unless your doing backups on bluray dont bother even buying one
Mouse/keyboard: get barebones on this your programing and doing graphic design not gaming dont waste money
Case:really something that is good for cable mangement and has enough froom for you

ill put a list together of something i would go with instead for less money and better performance on what you need not what you want

You must login or register to view this content. id go with something like this tbh, intels great but your not getting some amazing performance leap like most would say its not like its 200% better your looking at a 10-30% difference if that and thats being based off apps not being optimized for amd video your not losing on and photo creation your not if you use something made from adobe as they support open cl

if you can spare the money go with a fx-8300 i think is the name the step down below the 8350 as its two more cores to work with then the one i listed on pcpart list

IF you went with 2011 something like this You must login or register to view this content.

Actually the iGPU on intel performs better then any graphics card when it comes to rendering. Quick sync is pretty awesome .Hyper threading can also help in that type of situation as well.

Yea they are good but would they help as much as a gtx 770? That is the question.

Yea actually it would. However the software would also have to support Quicksync. But the same can be said about the software supporting cuda.

I know in sony vegas I was seeing close to half the amount of time in rendering projects over my 580's. The gap may be a little closer on newer cards.
