I really like both computers and I love the idea that I can programming apps for iOS in case I pick up the macbook pro but the specs from the alienware are just brutal.

P.D. Dont tell me about building a pc because I already have a desktop one and I need a laptop

Cheers guys.

I love the macbook pro as its perfect for everything i do, i can use the Microsoft office for mac on it for my college, i can use the X-code on it for building ios apps and i can use visual studios on my parallels windows 7 partition so i can make windows apps/tools. So if i was not a person looking to play stupid games on my laptop i would go with the mac otherwise i would stick with alienware.

considering the op has a xbox , idk why he would want to game on a laptop that isnt getting much better performance then the xbox if it is at all , so i think he should get the mac like you said he can boot windows 7 if he needs to down the road and the displays on the macs overkill the alienwares by miles

I got my Macbook Pro a few months about (4 months maybe) and I love it! I'm always using it and hardly touch my desktop PC anymore.

I tried a MAC once, it was confusing. But it makes sense if you choose it because you're mainly using it for practical work. The Alienware specs are useless if you're not gonna use them.

Get a sager laptop, better specced for the money as that's a weak ass gaming laptop for $1700 and macbooks suck
