(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello NGU,
Many sites are doing labor day sales so the prices of the PC's have dropped a ton. I have no previous experience building a PC and don't really feel like buying a desktop so I was taking a look at the pre-built laptops. I currently have an HP Pavilion dv6 and these are the specs: You must login or register to view this content.

I was taking a look at the Laptops that HP has on sale and I found this one that caught my attention: You must login or register to view this content.

I am familiar with stuff like the processor and know that since its an i7 quad core it will run faster than my i5. I wanted to know if the slimness of the PC has anything to do with its performance? Like if I were to play PC games on it like Minecraft would I be able to run them smoothly? I am not looking to play games like Battlefield or COD since I know those require way more powerful PC's, but will games like Garry's Mod, Minecraft, and CS:GO run stable on it without frame lag? I was thinking they might not because the PC is slim and there might not be enough fans to keep it cool, but then again I am a a noob and have no idea about these things. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Desktop is what you want. You can do more like add hardrives upgrade it, it will run cooler and last longer and be more powerful all those of course of you build it

Hello, thanks for your tip, but I think you missed my point. I have no previous experience building a PC and I don't want a desktop. A laptop will be much better for my needs because I could use it for college work as well. I am not looking to play crazy games like Battlefield or Call of Duty, just the simple ones like Minecraft, Garry's Mod, and CS:GO when I have time. You seem like you have lots of experience with PC's what do you think about the one I posted on top?

You never had to build a desktop for gaming, and you already have a decent laptop, and if it has value in the title its most likely a piece of shit because value is a marketing term to help sell more products

Thanks for your help! I will consider what you said before I make my final decision.
