Off the top of my head you can build a system using a i5, 16Gb and 280 or 970 with that easy :p
Guessing you want to play games in 1080p? or 1440p?

Go with a I5 CPU over I7 with 16Gb you can get away with 8Gb still for gaming.
4K gaming you're going to need SLI system which still finds it a challenge.

I am so happy to be moving to the pc gaming community! As i have been in the modding community since 3.41 jailbreak Smile .
So excited to build my first gaming pc Smile
I know you only need a 8gb ram to run any game Smile just encase i get in to video editing steam twitch and stuff multi tasking i could do with the 16gb i wanted a fully water cooled pc but its looks abit tricky. So i have gone for the Corsair double fan cpu cooler the one that changes colours. Any help would be great when i get my pc if you don't mind Smile

Why would you bother with an i7? You're paying the extra money for little extra. Get an i5 (much cheaper). Even when not overclocked it'll run any game you throw at it at the game's best settings. I have mine overclocked from 3.4GHz to 4.2GHz with stock cooling and it performs perfectly.

Can’t trickshot me!
You're gaming, why do you need an i7 and 16GB of RAM? Also, gaming at 4K is not viable. You're going to be throwing lots of money at a PC that WILL struggle to game at 4K with max settings. If you're thinking "oh, just turn down the settings," then why go with 4K in the first place? Build a 1080p/1440p rig for gaming and leave the 4K for productivity uses.

What is your budget? You say £800 in title, but the PC alone with the components you listed is ~£1500. With the 4K monitor and other accessories, that's another ~£500, making the total come out to ~£2000.

This is what £800 can get you:
