The gigabyte 970 has the following outputs:
3 x Display Port
1 x HDMI
1 x DVI-I
1 x DVI-D

You can use any of them but I think the best are HDMI and Display Port

As for the build I'm kinda new to pc building myself so I wont give you advise incase I'm wrong :p
