my business partner is planning on building his first ever build, care to share any advice to him?

This is what he has in mind so far. His budget is around £500

I dont think he's planning on gaming at all.

would be a bonus if he could run games like gta, csgo etc though

that pc aint really that bad... i took a quick gander if u wanna try to upgrade it i'd go to a 1060 3gb the new i3s are pretty fast

Yeah I think he's gonna go for it.

He isnt even planning on gaming, just wants a up to date pc as his laptop is way outta date

Succ, He would easily get 50+ fps high settings on gtav
