I'm really attracted to the 1000 model because it is easy to mod, but I would like a warranty (3000 model) seeing as how almost all electronics I buy end up having a problem within a year (I'm cursed).

Any help?

I don't really have a budget either. But I just want to but the system, not really into getting system-game bundles (unless there is a significant pro).

yeah do not buy the go as there have been tones of errors for it and i don't think u can mod it. i would not recomend the slim as it is basically the same as the first gen but just a bit slimmer and has a slightly brighter screen, so overall i'd recommond either the first or 3rd gen, as they are easy to mod but still perform well generally

Buy a slim, mod it, and get free games. I bought the psp fat one and modded it. You can get tons of stuff

I would wait for any new PSP's (PSP2?) but if you really want one now, I'd go for the 3000. I have it myself and it's pretty neat.

get a phat for $50 on Ebay and buy a 3000 from gamestop mod the phat leave the 3000 alone

1000 = 100 % u can mod it
2000 = 35 % u can mod it
3000 = 3 % u can mod it

I bought phat from gamestation (UK) For £60 and mod it and i bought my memory stick from sunday market... 8 gb £20 it goes to 80 .. and u can download the newest games worth up to £40 and it take up to 2gb.. if u buy a 2000 its more expensive and it may have a motherboard then u cant mod it

for modding get a slim(2000) or phat(1000).

man i sold all my psp's a couple of years ago. i miss modding them
