FF7 is a must. The majority of FF fans will agree that 7 is one of the best games out there.

The conflict usually comes with FF8 and FF9. I prefer 9 over 8 just because 8 really doesn't have the "fantasy" feel to it.

So my suggestion is FF7 -> FF9 -> FF8.
Thats the order I would buy them in.

kl thats what alot of people tell me and the order i would buy them, i was also told not to buy ff8 as it has no customisation in it.

I would not say don't buy FF8 at all. It is still a great game. If you have a choice I would definitely purchase all three.
