(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Im picking up 2 PSP's from my local game shop for £50 a peice. There both Phat does that mean they are in the 1000 series ( I.E Hackable with pandora and MMS ). Also, If the batterys are original will they be the ones Without metal casing?

EDIT : All Phats are 100% hackable so it seems, Reguardless if they have been updated or not...

the easiest way to see what version they are is to turn it on and look under system information , other than that if the battery is normal , there isnt a way to tell , i dont think. If your buying them for $50 i would guess the firmware is low enough for you to put on any firmware you want

The 2000 and higher models are "slim". So if it's Phat then you can hack it. If they are on 5.03 or less then you can run ChickHen straight away, allowing you to flash your PSP and install CFW. If one of them isn't on that FW though I wouldn't recommend making a Pandora battery.

Yeah you can. If you're on CFW though then you can make your own Pandora batteries. I wouldn't recommend trying to make one yourself however unless you can get a PSP on CFW.

I've seen a few videos on youtube of people actually taking the batteries apart to make a "Pandora battery" but this isn't a reversible change like the homebrew that CFW users can use to make them.

It was just a warning incase you intended to do that.

You can use the hardware pandora as a normal battery once you have CFW...

An Orange Apple ???
Becuase There Phats It Shouldn't Matter What Firmware They.
Its Easy Enough To Find Guides On How To Make A Magic Memory Stick And Pandoras
But I Suggest You Buy A Set Off The Interrrwebs.. Its Cheap Enough and Usually Around $5

On The Lates Custom Firmwares You Can Convert Batteries From Normal To Pandoras And Back Freely
