OFW: Official Firmware
CFW: Custom Firmware

Right, all those PSP's have the potential to run Kernel Level CFW, however without a Pandora's battery/MMS there's not a high chance of doing it.

You can do it all without spending a penny, but you have to read carefully and try not to mess up;

CFW one of your psp's;

1, Update one of your PSP's preferably the 5.02 fat too OFW 5.03

2, Load chickhen R2 using You must login or register to view this content.

3, Load 5.03 Gen C using You must login or register to view this content.

4, Make a Magic Memory stick, Which will install 5.00 MM3 or 5.50 gen using one of the numerous windows apps on psp-hacks.com.

5, Find a Pandora battery maker homebrew app(try psp-hacks.com), and pandorize it.

6, Use the MMS and Pandora battery on all 3 psps, yes the fat battery in the slim psp, it wont break it.

7, Now update to 5.50 gen, then all the way to gen d3.

8, Install the 5.50 prometheus addon.

9, Done. Now theres a hell of alot of work involved there, ask away if you have any trouble.

P.S. By the way I'd recommend you have a look at some of those posts over at PSP-hacks.com if you get really stuck, they've got some helpful tutorials.

Ms0:/ = The root of your memory stick, as soon as you click on the memory stick icon in my computer.

Lol, its gonna get a whole lot harder, go You must login or register to view this content., download 5.03 OFW. Pop it on your memory stick of your psp in the folder Ms0:/PSP/Game/Update. If there's not a folder there, make it. Put the update.pbp there.

Start up your psp, go to game on the xmb, and then memory stick, click on the update. Make sure your power cords connected, reduces the chance you'll brick it massively.

Updated to 5.03, Job Done.

Pandora 101

A Pandora battery is just a normal battery with the digital serial number written to 0's.

Sony implemented a feature into the hardware that if the batteries serials are all 0's it will boot off of the memory stick's IPL. They used this as their own method for fixing broken PSP's.

So when you put the pandora battery in it will look on your memory stick, load the ipl, and then in turn load the CFW.

THE ONLY WAY to make a pandora battery (write the serial to 0's) is too use a CFW psp to do it. Or you can hard mod it, but it is quite dangerous, you may result looking like this :FU: when it goes boom.

If you do proceed to go for the buying route, you dont need to buy a MMS, you can make one with your PC very easily. So all you need to do is buy the battery.

However, if you live in the UK, I'd be happy to pandorize your battery and make a MMS for you. Obviously you'd have to post me one of your FAT batteries and a normal memory stick, as well as a couple of quid to post it back.

So all you'd have to do is pop the memory stick in your psp and then put the battery in, for all your psps. Obviously i have no true rep on this forum, but up to you if you want to trust me or not.
