No, you need to have a pandora battery and a magic memory stick to downgrade the PSP. If you don't have a pandora creating tool, you cant always make your battery a permanent pandora battery but that involves cutting open the battery and removing a pin off the battery. The magic memory sticks can be created with free software but will not work without the pandora battery.
